Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower, Shinjuku

We are all loving this new-ish building in Tokyo which was completed late 2008 and is the 17th tallest building in Tokyo.

Mode Gakuen made it a condition of the design tender that the building could not be a rectangle.

This picture is the view from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Offices which have a free observation deck which is well worth the visit and is right near our hotel.
